China to Set up Donkeys Farm in Gwadar

Islamabad: Pakistan has agreed to allow China’s donkey industry to set up farms in the Gwadar Export Processing zone.

The Minister added that China’s donkey industry will be allowed to establish farms in the Gwadar Export Processing Zone

During the meeting, the Chinese delegation expressed keen interest in establishing donkey farms in Pakistan, citing the country’s favorable environment for donkey breeding.

Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain welcomed the interest and emphasized Pakistan’s strong relationship with China. He stated that permission to set up donkey farms will be granted under a formal agreement after fulfilling all legal requirements. The agreement will clearly state that the breeding of Pakistan’s local donkey population will not be affected.

The Minister added that China’s donkey industry will be allowed to establish farms in the Gwadar Export Processing Zone, where slaughterhouses and export facilities will also be developed to enable the export of donkey meat to China via Gwadar Port.

He further stated that this initiative would contribute to boosting Pakistan’s exports and strengthening trade ties with China. Additionally, the promotion of the donkey industry would create new economic opportunities and employment at the local level.
