Prices of Petroleum Products on April 16, 2025

The government has kept oil prices unchanged by raising Petroleum levy to Rs 80 per liter to fund road and canal projects in Balochistan.
These prices expected be slashed up to Rs 8 per liter effective from second fortnight of April 16, 2025.
The price of petrol was expected to go down by Rs 8.27 per liter, high speed diesel Rs 6.96 per liter, kerosene oil Rs 7.47 per liter and light diesel oil Rs 7.21 per liter.Electricity Rates Cut in April 2025
The government is currently charging Rs 80 per liter petroleum levy (PL) now each on petrol and high speed diesel (HSD).
Earlier, the government had been charging Rs 60 per liter and raised it to Rs 70 per liter to fund the electricity consumers.The government planned to collect Rs 58 billion additional revenue on account of petroleum levy during the three months to fund electricity consumers.
